I'm a 20 year with a great job. But there is a huge hole in my life. I would love to go to college a start a great career. I have completed all my high school credits and I have around a 2.0. I can't pass my math high school proficiency. I have taken it 5 times I have tutoring classes’ friends help me but still nothing. I really wanted to know what chooses do I have. I would really appreciate if someone would give me a big break on what route i should take. Thank You!!

Go see a community college counselor.

Sounds like you're on the right track. If I'm understanding you right, you're saying you've passed everything but the math and they won't give you your certificate without passing the math.

First, I would say congratulations on making it this far and don't give up. I think taking the class 5 times is good in terms of determination, but maybe you should try something different. What areas of math are giving you the most difficulty? I would make sure I focus in on my problem areas.

Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about admission requirements, but I would check with both 4-year and 2-year schools to see if there is coursework you can begin to take until you pass the math proficiency. Maybe you can get a head start in another subject.

I wish you the best

You can try for your GED. There are a lot of tutoring programs available to help you pass the math portion. If you still find that you cannot pass that portion to complete your GED, you can get some vocational training and certification through a Career institute, or junior college.
