check your connections first, did you install new tubes also? if not try replacing all your tubes, if that doesnt take care of problem, im guessing you bought a cheap fixture from a home depot type place, their fixtures usually have chinese ballasts, and they are crap, buy a replacement ballast such as a sylvania or magneteck, or take your fixture back and get one with an electronic ballast, they tend to make less noise.....

The buzzing is usually caused by the ballast. It is not unheard of to have a ballast need replacing on new or nearly new fixtures (they are cheaply made and quality is often low).

Check with the store which sold you the fixture, they should be willing to exchange it or refund your money, as the fixture is considered to be defective.

either the ballast is loose inside the fixture or the ballast is going bad ...i would recommend you check it first then take it back where you bought it and have them replace it..

60 cycle hum. It is the ballast in the light. You may get the noise if the ballast is loose, or you may get it if the ballast is getting ready to go bad too.
