Chili is the name of the pepper in Spanish that it is usually made from. Chili in Spanish does not mean cool or cold. Many words when they cross over to a different language take on a whole different meaning. That is why international corporations go through a big program to ensure the name of a product they plan to market doesn't mean something derogatory in another language.
