What gay/lesbian novels are there? (especially youth) What ones do you recommend?
I just read "The Year of Ice" which I thought was amazing, the scene where he bites the guys a$$ is hot. I've already read "Rainbow boys" and I'm thinking of reading "Rainbow Road"
So, any good lesbian/gay novels, specifically youth ones?
Thanks!

I especially like novels about closeted rough gay boys. HOT.

Nancy Garden and Julie Ann Peters both have some great teen books out, my favorites being "Annie On My Mind" (lesbian) and "Luna" (transgender).
Some other notables:
"The Flip Side" by Andrew Matthews- one of the only YA books I've ever seen about cross-dressing, and good, to boot, if a little fluffy at times.
"How I Paid for College: A Novel of Sex, Theft, Friendship, and Musical Theater" by Mark Acito- a very, very, very hilarious book featuring a bisexual male protagonist (and there are so few of those out there, in books, TV, movies, anywhere, really). Plus, it's just dang funny, really laugh-out-loud funny.
"Tomorrow Wendy" by Shelley Stoehr- a nice YA lesbian novel I enjoyed.
"Boy Meets Boy" by Lawrence Schimel. You can't go wrong with this one.
Hope that helps, and happy reading!

Memoirs of a Beatnik by way of Diane DiPrima not strictly a lesbian novel, yet has a number of the final sapphic love scenes i've got ever examine and an staggering tale. So not undemanding to place it down, you will maximum probable end it the 1st night. provide of undertaking, i'm particular you will like it, esp. in case you're taking excitement in good beat literature.

Jamie O'Neill's 'At Swim, Two Boys' is just divine.
Thank you for the rec - I'm off to find a copy of "The Year of Ice". Come to think of it, there are several recs here.
Cheers, again!

I forget who the author is, but try "Tipping the Velvet". (You'll have to google it or something.)
