Risks with any surgery can be great, especially for an intensive surgery such as a Cesarean section. Infections are always possible in any open, or recently stitched wound. You'll need to be careful to use the necessary medications for the extended period of time as directed by your OB/GYN.

Like I said, risks are unavoidable in surgery. Hemorrhaging, clots, and other variables can occur... but, again, your doctor will give you all of the necessary information (i.e. - what to eat the day before the surgery, medications you can and can't take, etc.) well before you will deliver the baby. Vaginal deliveries tend to cause more significant health risks to the baby, while Cesareans will obviously pose greater risks to the mother instead. Statistically, the risks are fairly low and you should be worrying less about complications, and more about being a wonderful mother to this precious infant! Stress isn't good for the baby (or mother), either, so keep your cool!

I wish you and your family the best of luck!

The girl who has it could get a infection from having a c-section. when you get this done your exposed to all sorts of bacteria and dirt because your body is still healing itself after having surgery on it. Personally they give you instructions and medication to help prevent anything happening but the doctor said that each person is different on how the body heals.

I've had my children both vaginal and c section. there are complication any time you have surgury or a baby period. neither is safer to have. this is my opinion:
c-section was easier on me and my twins. we weren't as exhausted as in a vag delivery. if this is what your asking for.
my 2 vaginal deliveries hurt like hell. one the epidural needle came out and the other took just hureven with the epidural. if your trying to decide what you and your wife should have, the c-section is the way to go.

risks are pretty much the same as any surgery, bleeding, infection, insions opening up, trouble with the medications used...etc. for the baby it doesnt compress the lungs like the vag birth...so some fluid stays in there longer
