IM sure your feeling it, but dont realize it... if you have any meat on your bones, it is sometimes longer... have you felt like a butterfly in your belly... that is kid of what it feels like... my friend said it also sometimes feels like a gas bubble in your belly... You should have an ultrasound between 18-20 weeks... and that will tell you... Good Luck and Congrats!!!

Not at all! I didn't feel my first until I was 21-22 weeks along... especially with teh first, you don't know exactly what you're feeling for!
My sister told me to try this... and I felt it! The next time you have a chance to sleep in, or are taking a nap... as you wake up, move very slowly... lay still... make sure there's nothing else moving or bumping the bed... and that everything around you is nice and still.. .you know those peaceful "Waking up" moments? That's what you're after. Turn carefully and slowly onto your side.. pull your legs up slowly so they're bent slightly... like you're spooning with your honey. Keep your breathing slow and steady through this... and just lay still and focus on what you're feeling inside your tummy. Quickening, those first early movements, feels like little butterfly wings tapping on the inside of your tummy. Or... maybe like little tiny bubbles bubbling around a bit... that's it... no strong kicks at this point at all. I felt the difference between one of my own gas bubbles and quickening... was that quickening is more deliberate... So it's not just a gurgle... but an insistent, almost metered tapping.. You'll feel it for a moment.. and then it will be gone... but it'll come back. The real kicks will happen soon enough.

Since this is your first pregnancy, it is totally normal to not feel movements yet. With my first, I didn't feel it until around 20wks, but with this one I felt small kicks as early as 14/15 wks. Sometimes it's hard to know what to look for. If you want, you can try lying down on your side and putting your hand low on your belly. Just wait patiently for any little taps... Sometimes it just takes patience! I'm sure you'll be feeling movement within the next few weeks, so don't worry. Good luck, and congrats!

The first time you feel the baby move is known as quickening. I am 25 weeks pregnant and just recently felt my baby move around the 20 week mark. I, too, was worried but believe there nothing to fear if you have gone to the doctor and they have told you everything is okay. I have read that sometimes it has also to do with your body structure. If you are a bit over weight it may take longer to feel. If you are thinner you may feel the baby move more sooner. Below I have written the site so that you may further get informed. Congratulations on your little one and God bless.

i am 17n wks pregnant and still didn't feel any momment of my baby yet. I've read books and spoke to my Doc about this matter as well. Both books and Doc told me first pregnancy may have later moment. Moment may happened from 18-22 wks. I wouldn't worry to much about it yet. I have confident that you will feel your baby soon.

I wouldn't worry at all. Different women feel it at different times. Some don't even realize that they have felt it at first. Not until the baby gets a little stronger do they realize that the "butterflies" they felt at first were really kicks! Don't worry, once it starts it usually gets out of hand! Just be a patient for a little longer.

If this is your first baby its normal to not feel anything until about 24 weeks pregnant. With subsequent pregnancies, its usually sooner, like the 15 - 18 that you mentioned...but every woman and every pregnancy is different. talk to your OB if your concerned about it. Good luck and many blessings.

Feeling the baby move also known as quickining, comes at different times for different women depending on how big or small you are.
I personally didnt feel movement until week 24 and then they were very random.
Now i feel him all the time, dont worry!!!!
He or she will move when shes ready!!

It depends if this is your first child or not. Many woman who have had child before can feel the baby move before a woman who hasn't.This is my first child, i felt her move around 20-21 weeks. If everything looked fine, i wouldn't be worried. If you do not feel any movement by your 21st week then i would talk your doctor.Good luck with everything
