This question stems from a Chromatography lab, so basically its asking what force would move the ionic component up the chromotography paper....i think.

that is non polar, other words is london force
because non polar didnt attract to water cuz water is polar
then the chromatagraphy will climb up to the top of paper so fast.
polar is attractive to water( cuz two of them is polar) therefore chromagraphy climbs to the top of paper so slow.
