Ok... let me add more info, i dont know when they are going to pay (weekly, semi-w, biw...etc), I know it's salary :).

Married, 1 exception (will this affect?), california, just health, insurance and 401k.

Depends on where you live, pretax deductions (like 401k/etc). I'd recommend the (free) tool at paycheckcity.com. Good Luck

Not enough information to say.

The goal is NOT to have the least amount of tax withheld but to have the CORRECT amount of tax withheld.

Since you're married you need to sit down with your spouse and prepare a "ghost" Form W-4 to account for both of your incomes and your combined deductions, exemptions, salary reductions, etc. Use the worksheets on page 2 to run the calculations. The number of exemptions you arrive at on that W-4 is the total you should be claiming between you. If your spouse makes significantly more or less than you do it's entirely possible that you will both have to claim zero withholding exemptions AND have additional income taxes withheld, both State and Federal, in order to avoid owing more tax when you file your return next year.

Once you've arrived at the proper withholding amounts you both should file new Forms W-4 with your employers. Your employers can then tell you to the penny what your take-home pay will be.

It's $846.15 gross weekly, $1692.30 gross biweekly, $1833.33 semimonthly, or $3666.67 monthly. (Bimonthly is every two months; I think you meant semimonthly.)

How much you actually take home depends on your filing status, how many exemptions you claim, whether you live in a state with an income tax and what that rate is, whether you pay for health/dental/medical insurance out of your check, whether or not you have a 401k, etc.

Your bi-weekly check could look like this:

Bi-weekly Gross Pay $1,692.31
Federal Withholding $139.00
Social Security $104.92
Medicare $24.54
California $20.96
CA SDI $10.15

Net Pay $1,392.74

You can change your exemptions etc. and calculate your tax withholdings here:

yes because money is just a need its not life . but our needs make us to feel low about life if we don't have money we will think more about it, if we have much money we wont get any thoughts about it it is very hard to say that every one is fighting for money, struggling for money , dying for money, but no one says im living for money now a days the richness is money if we have money we are rich if we wont have it we are poor because money plays a main role in our life its very simple to say we can't live with out money either a day or a week

Assuming withholding of about 20%, that would be around $677 per week.

44000/52=846.15
846.15 x.20 (generally 20% for taxes for 1 dependent) =211.54
846.15-211.54= 634.61 weekly
