Is the Rogue STR-1 Pro Electric Sitar truly made of plastic?

I didn't read that anywhere (maybe i missed it..), but it could be plastic, maybe even "Bakelite", which is ok i guess. Remember though, this isn't a real Sitar, it has a guitar neck on it , and a Gotoh bridge designed to get that "Buzzing" sound, although reviews about it weren't mostly favorable. I'd check it out though if you were interested. The price sounded about right, even though it IS a Rogue....
