Try listening to bbc.co.uk/radio1/dance for free weekly radio shows with techno, trance, drum and bass, high energy. you need real player-free
Shoutcast radio is also free and you can search for different techno radio stations, you need winamp-free, to play them.
try going to wnysor.net, a forum site from buffalo, my home town, lots of downloads there and tons of info on electronic music. new site is buffalobassline.org
themixingbowl.com is a torrent site where you can download live sets for free and share what you have downloaded. great way to find out what genres you like and what DJs you like.
digitallyimported.com is a pay site but has lots of live streams to listen to, has epic, vocal and hard trance streams
The list can go on and on, there are many local DJs in all parts of the world that are just as good as some of the big names, it just depends on your style, what you like, setting, who you are with, etc.
Electronic music, like every genre is ever changing and there are new tracks coming out all the time and old ones are being re made. Happy listening!
