I'm just starting to learn to play piano and I'm a total drama geek. Are there any broadway musicals that have easy songs to play on the piano?

Your best bet might be to start with some of the junior versions of broadway musicals. A personal recommendation would be "Into The Woods" by stephen sondheim. Once you are familiar with the junior version the transition to the original version should be rather painless. (And as a bonus for ease "Into The Woods" has several recurring melodies that should prove a benefit when learning and playing the numbers)

Hope that helps!

There are plenty of books you can get tha have easy piano parts.... fake books are great.... look in a local music store for broadway compilations by piano instruction companies such as alfred, and amsco. Seasons of Love from RENT is a pretty easy song already.

The word is "thespian," which is not much better, due to the limericks people can invent. I'm not a pianist, so I can't suggest "easy" musicals. Frankly, I'd be surprised if there were such a thing as a Broadway musical with simple piano parts.

Not really... but a lot of plays have books out especially made for easy piano. Common ones include Phantom, Wicked, etc
