If you have been living your life wondering why certain things happen, then realise its because of your way of thinking leading to certain actions...how do you change it when it feels like changing your entire life around mentally?

One way of changing your thinking--lysergic acid diethylamide acetate (LSD).

I'm not recommending this, just pointing it out. Some even better tricks might be to learn a foreign langauge, or study symbolic logic, or read a book of a genre you are unaccustomed to. Travel to some different place. Learn a new skill. But for really fast and wild results, drop acid.

It is tough.
You are correct in saying that your thoughts lead to actions.
They first drive your emotions. Then your feelings drive your actions.

You will act and feel the way you think. If you think your not good then you will feel bad and do nothing.

Baby steps.

First decide what is true about a situation and get it affirmed from people you trust will tell you the truth and not what you want to hear.

Then believe it.

Then act it whether you feel like it or not.
Then you'll feel it.
