I agree with most responses here, but will add I recently had someone who claimed me as a friend drop me because I said I dislike chain letters and that I was "rude". What is ruder; telling someone you dislike chain letters, or wishing ill health, bad luck and death on you and your family, friends, etc., simply because you don't forward a chain letter? People need to get a life and quit reading the National Enquirer, living in trailer parks, and running around in their tighty whiteys!

The best way is to not show any attention to them. Don't respond to them, don't pass them along, don't even discuss them, just delete them. If everybody does this, the chain letter will go away. _| \ |C

Chain letters can only be chain letters if people forward them. Stop forwarding them and they stop becoming chain letters, they become trash!

Talk to my sister, she has been sending them to me for a long time now, and as soon as I get then I delete them, I have asked her not to send them, but they keep on coming.and I keep on deleting them.
