There aren't many lines which have itineraries all the way between Quebec City and ports on Lake Michigan. The Spirit of Nantucket may be the only ship making the complete trip :

You could probably piece together segments of the journey on separate cruise lines. Check here :

A travel agent specializing in small ship cruises might be helpful. Try these :

If you're thinking of making the trip in your own small boat then do some careful planning and consideration of the challenges. See this site for a very ambitious small boat journey and the experiences learned : http://www.spikehampson.com/index.html . Check with your local boating organizations and the US CoastGuard for advice : http://www.usps.org/cgi-bin/contact.cgi?20 , http://www.uscg.mil/top/units/ .

It won't be inexpensive however you do it.

of course you can do it. I have no idea as to the fees you might be charged for going through all the locks, but you'll need to use you motors, so gas might be a killer.

It sounds like it would be fun, though...

good luck
