It depends.
Is your 250mb file one that a lot of people might already have? Say like.. a TV show episode, then yes, bittorrent is for you.
If the file is one that you've created all by yourself and no one else in the world has a copy, then bittorrent may not be as optimal, but still useful.
You'd need to set up your own tracker of some kind -- maybe even use the one available within Azureus itself.

Yeah that's ok. Hell, i'm sharing copyrighted pictures on facebook. by no skill had a disaster. no person is going to pass trough each and all of the fuss of filling a lawsuit in the direction of you considering which you shown a % to a buddy , so relax. in case you want chilly info, there is not line in the legislations stating what precisely is deepest use and what's comercial, besides the shown fact that decoding the legislations logically, you do not attain any make the main of showing a image to a buddy.

The best way is just to split the file into 10MB pieces and send in mail.He can join those 10MB files.
Many mail service provides allows 10MB max size.
You can split and join a file using HJSplit a easy to use,free software whose size is only 320kb.
You can send that HJSPlit also ,since it is very less in size.

yes, it is possible. if u r friends have broadband internet connection only. take u r friends system ip addres and send it through FTP.( if there is no static ip no problem. after connect the internet give command aat command prompt "ipconfig" in win 2000, xp, nt systems. it shows isp provided ip. use this ip and send u r file to friends. if every disconnect and connect again the ip changes) if any full information email me - srinath_kodela@yahoo.co.in. i wll try my level best

If you both use a chat network, like MSN or ICQ, you can simply chat and send each other a file in the mean time.
