I would quietly replace the outer shell of the eggplant as well as possible and gently place it in the refrigerator, hoping against hope that the next day did not result in the note turning into a baby chicken.

I'd be looking to see if Criss Angel was in my house. He did a trick in a grocery store where he opened up a grapefruit to reveal a lemon and the lemon had an egg inside and the egg had a bird...so where's the egg in my eggplant?
