The best way? Find a free wi-fi hotspot and surf to your heart's content without paying a cent. :) Yaay!

However, if there isn't one of those handy, the next least-expensive option is to install a wi-fi wireless access point in your own home so that you can surf wirelessly via your own, inexpensive, internet connection.

You can also set up a Bluetooth connection with your home PC and use its internet connection; but if you try to do it this way, your range is usually limited to only about 10 metres from your "base" computer... :(

Any PDA with a built in WiFi card (such as HP Ipaqs or Dell Axims) will do the trick.

As far a software, the IE that comes standard isn't too bad (I still use it) but third party software such as Opera or Firefox both have a mobile version. Hope that helps!

You have several options:
- Find a free or paid wi-fi hotspot and use it (your PDA must have wi-fi capabilities)
- Connect your cellphone and PDA (through bluetooth or cable) and connect to the internet using your cellphone operator's internet connection (you'll get charged per megabyte).

The second option might be very attractive because you'll be able to surf the internet in anywhere there's operator coverage, which, now, might be much bigger than wi-fi coverage.

any iPAQ will do, however, you might want to download the OPERA browser. Works and looks a little better than Pocket IE.
