I have the Mach Fusion Razor, (5 blades), and I used thick shaving cream...

I always shave after a shower, but yet, it kills to shave. The hair grows back faster, thicker, and more dense each and every time.

Is there anything that can soften up my beard? I've searched the internet and found almost nothing on this topic. In fact, when my stubble starts to grow in (usually 1 day later) it basically feels like glass shards on my face.

Ugh - Someone help me!

Buy a Remington electric shaver. The reason you are having so much of a problem with a razor is because a razor pulls at the hairs when it cuts them. An electric shaver simply chops off the hairs as the shaver moves over your skin. An electric shaver will work a lot better for you. The blades for an electric shaver will last longer than eight months. Remington has the new titanium-coated blades. They last a long time. You might also want to try using Edge shaving gel before you decide to buy an electric shaver. Edge shaving gel works so much better than shaving cream. It leaves your face very slick, and you get a lot less irritation from shaving.

I have the same problem, and I know how you feel. I tried all shaving creams, lotions to solve this problem.
I've found that not only do I have to take a hot shower, but I have run the hot water on my beard for a min or two before getting out to shave ( I use the hottest water my beard and face stand).

I use a electric shaver now and then, but don't use it that often because it pulls the hair. Hair is tough.

Good Luck

in case you're making waiting for a "special day", i might advise you shave a minimum of three days previously. notice some after shave lotion for the pubic section to cut back the itching and incidence of pubic pimples. in case you do not have sufficient time, in basic terms take a pair of scissors and trim them.

I don't know if it will work but it is an idea. I always have a spot on my legs that is rough to shave so i use baby oil to shave with. it REALLY gunk's up the razor so you will need HOT water to rinse it.

My husband use an exfoliate before he shaves, it opens the pores and makes it a little easier.

Thats just the way its going to be, there isnt anything you can do about how thick your hair grows. You can try one of those battery operating shavers.

There its Veet for men available, a hair removal cream. It grows back finer eventually.
OR........ Do what my man does....waxes!!!! It stays silky smooth for weeks and grows back finer.
But get drunk and lock everyone else out of the house first!!!!! It kills.
