Like my 85 year old mother , who I call once a month cause I live 1200 km.s away.? I had been meaning to call her weeks ago but stuff just kept comming up all the time. I'm custodial parent of 12 & 15 year old girls . When I did finally call her I explained why " Living and life just kept getting in the way." She knew what I meant. When we finally do talk , it's not a 10 or 30 minute call. More like 2 hours. It does make up a lot for Life getting in the road.

Some people don't have a strong connection to family and friends even when they're around and healthy.
So when these people are in nursing homes they revert back to what's always been normal for them.

Most of the time its because they are afraid of looking at the way the person ended up and is afraid it will happen to them. Thats what happens to most people and its really sad. Take care Heather

It's too depressing, especially when you remember how well they used to be.
