It is the sheer prostration at His feet. Mental and physical prostration leads to surrender. In surrender there is no thought. There is huge amount of energy that is gained in the process. It would depend upon the individual how he utilises the energy. :)

Are you asking or answering this question?
In any event it is an unverified effort which follows the program designed to keep people subjugated. (in slavery)

Suppose you were praying for the answer, it would come and you would immediately understand it (remember it). The lack of resistance would make this possible.

When praying one is asking while knowing that the subject being asked for IS granted. There can be no doubt, only belief. ie. if you ask that God remove hunger or starving children, the subject is hunger or starving children and they are granted. No yes or no, only the subject, or in other words the thought or feeling (vibration of the signal). The learning that needs to take place is the learning of you really want.
It is also always possible to change your mind and renew your prayer should you find that what you asked for is not what it was cracked up to be. Enjoy

Lead me from death to Immortality.

Om Shanthi. Shanthi. Shanthi. (Peace, peace, peace be to all.)
May the entire world be happy.
Jai Shree Sat Guru Maharaj Ki!
OM TAT SAT

This prayer is certainly known to persons like you. I am mentioning this for the world to know. Any prayer should not be only for self. It should be UNIVERSAL. If you pray for the world you also get the effect and all your ego is reduced.

I agree that the purpose of prayers (fully understanding the meaning of it) will reduce the individual ego-
