I find myself in a hugely difficult situation this month due to unfortunate circumstances that just compounded over the course of these last several weeks. $2K would get me out of this, and I would be able to pay it back over the course of 3-4 months. I just don't know what the best way is to go. My family is tapped thanks to my divorce fees.

Its only $2000. Talk to those that you owe as they usually would take something rather than try to get the money back. But as another said, any partime job would help. Waiting tables is the best way time to dollars to make quick money.

Start working extra hours doing anything. Delivering pizza, waiting tables. Do not go for the huge scams that will let you borrow against your future earnings (Check into Cash, Payday Loans, etc.) their average interest charge is about 600%. Stall on every other payment you can without going late or send in the minimum until you can clear off your debt. Start with the baby steps below:

Do you have anything you could use for collateral to get a loan? Would a bank give you a personal loan? Is there anything you could sell? Do you have an IRA that you could cash in? Sorry, that's all I can think of. Good luck.
