For example, I have the Cingular Carrier, but they don't have any GREAT phones out there right now. I like this phone exclusive to Sprint (the Fusic) and I wodner if I can buy the phone from Sprint and put my Cingular simcard in? Will it work? Thanks in advanced.

NO! I'm sorry, but Sprint is a CDMA carrier, meaning the phone has NO SIM card! If you have a friend who has any phone with Sprint or Verizon, check the phone where the SIM card should be; you'll notice it has no SIM card; this is because sprint uses the computer to program the information into the phone, instead of a SIM card.

If it is another GSM phone, and it is unlocked (most cell stores will do for about 20-25 bucks) then you can use your cingular sim card in it.. but the data features may not work, or will need to be reconfigured for cingulars data network

No sprint used a different type of network than cingular.

Cell phones are branded to the carrier and the only way to get them capable for use with another carrier is to have it unlocked, which means the branding is taken off.
