first problem, we don't know for sure what any of these animals actually looked like. we are giving our best guess to all but a handful of ancient animals because only a few had inpressions that where good enough to make a true sketch from. T-Rex was not one of those. we do not know what colors they where, or if they where all actaully cold blooded. recent studies say that a good percentage of dinos where at least semi-warm blooded, meaning they generated some of thier own body heat. as for how it drank, it might have been by scooping water and tilting thier heads back, since T-Rex could flex his jaws outward like a snake, it would allow for scooping several gallons of water into the bottom of its mouth without spilling. a T-Rex could bite off over 60 pounds of flesh in a single bite, 2 or 3 gallons of water could fit in there no problem

Some, probably most didn't. Tho not reptiles, their moisture needs were less than mammals since they had few sweat glands. Most of their moisture needs were met by the foods they ate, T-rexes, as well as herbavours. Even today, many small rodents never drink water...even those that dwell in desert areas -- like kangaroo rats, deer mice, and the like. All moisture needs are met by their food intake. Even camels under the most severe of conditions, don't drink, sometimes for a week or more. It is because of the lack of sweat glands.

I imagine they dipped their jaw into a pool of water, then raised their snouts skyward and let the water flow down their gullet. Sort of like a crane.

with their mouths of course, what do you expect? that they sit their posteriors in water and suck it up?????
of course air leaks but water flows,
so they probadly drank like birds, by scooping up water in their mouths and tipping their heads up ,letting the water flow into their throats.
God bless,
gabe
