I think Cameron is adorable for a girl.

I used to prefer this spelling but I am starting to really like Camryn for a little girl. Makes it more feminine.

Camryn Anne is cute but it depends on the last name...

I also like:
Camryn Taylor
Camryn Jade
Camryn Elisabeth
Camryn Leigh
Camryn Riley
Camryn Peyton
Camryn Jayne
Camryn Paige
Camryn Faith

Good Luck! SD

Obviously they never heard of Cameron Diaz. Love the first Charlie's Angels. Second one is totally lame and stupid. Since when did Bosley became a black dude. They should have gotten Steve Martin to replace Bill Murray. Anyway I love the name. How about Cameron Diana-Anne?

I think the name Cameron can go for either boy or girl. I know a girl who spells her name Kamyrin. It's also the name of the town I live in.

I personally like names that are unusal for either sex. I like Jaymes for a girl so yeah I like Cameron she has the option of going by Cammi or by Cameron, but maybe tweaking the spelling a bit. Kamryn or something like that might be easier to define her sex on paper. If you and dad like it what does it matter about the rest of the family? It's a name that you will be calling your daughter for the rest of her life. It's a name that can set her apart from other girls in her classroom without being something off the wall like apple or oasis....good luck

I think its good. Look at Cameron Diaz. Shes not having TABLOIDS shout at her 'Cameron Diaz? What a manly name'. If you family really objects, give them stats on how many people that are girls:

POPULARITY OF "CAMERON" FOR GIRLS
______________________________________________

First Year in the Top 1000: 1980
Last Year in the Top 1000: 2005 (latest year for which we have data)
Average Age: 9.29
Highest Percentage: 0.126% in 1999
Best Rank: #176 (in 1999)
Represented in the Top 1000 names in: 26 of 126 years (20.63%)
Total* Female Population in Top 1000: 16430

Anyways, if they STILL object, what about a different spelling? Such as Camryn Kameron or Kameryn.

Still OBJECTING? Oh dear. What about you name her Camrynanne or Cameron-Anne as her first name, and call her CAMERON? My auntie Carrie had the same problem when she was born. He grandmother thought it sounded like the name of a cavity [they used to call them carries]. So her parents named her Catherine, but everyone calls her Carrie anyway.

Good Luck! ♥

If you leave it spelled Cameron, it may seem too masculine, but try changing the spelling to something like Camryn, Kamryn, Camrin, Camryyn, or Camaryn.

Good luck and congratualtions.

I love the name Cameron. It reminds me of Cameron Diaz. Honestly, if your family thinks its a boys name, get them together at your house for a movie night and show them Charlies Angels or Shrek.

I think it is too masculine, but you could always call her Cami for a nickname. Or maybe you could go with Camille instead. But if you and your husband like Cameron, then use it, it is your baby!
