If you could accurately predict the exact first day of your upcoming period. Count back 14 days, that's the day you ovulated. Women ovulate only once in a menstrual cycle, and if this does not get fertilized, we will bleed exactly 14 days after. The problem with this is, the days of any succeeding months are never the same, so it will be hard to accurately pinpoint your ovulation.
However there are several tell tales signs, like a significant increase in your basal temperature. thickening of cervical mucus, and a lower abdominal discomfort signalling the ripening of the ovum as it is released from the ovary.

Count your 1st day of bleeding as day 1 of each cycle. For example, you had your menstruation on March 1 avoid unprotective sex by March 14, 15 to 16 because during that time you are ovulating. Hope this will help you.

If you have a normal 28 day cycle it could come anytime between day 14-19 after the first day of the start of your period. There is a great website called fertility.com that can calculate your egg release to the day.

You should ovulate around day 14 after the first day of your last menstrual period. So count day one on the first day you bleed, and day 14 is a good guess of ovulation. This assumes your cycle is regular and about 28 days long.

You might get a stringy clear mucus like an egg white around that time, and if you measure your temperature before you get out of bed each morning it should go up right around ovulation time. If you want to be 100% sure, go to the drugstore and buy an ovulation testing kit!!
