How far above and beyond, is the contribution? Is it causing your family to go with less, because of this problem alone? Normally there are court orders about child support and such, I can see on occasion, that some extra cash may be needed, for something related to the child. No supporting the ex's fun, the problem must be real, and he shouldn't feel guilty about it, and she shouldn't use the child, if she does that to get the money, he should not allow that. She asks, he gives. I would want to know why it's so easy to give it away, I'm guessing it's gifted, not a loan. Tell him to give you an equal amount, at the same time she gets her money, either explain why or pay up.

I suppose he pays support.Do you guys have kids together. If she getting child support than that should be enough. If she asking for extra money for like the kids clothes, groceries,or stuff for the kids than instead of giving her the cash than you guys personally go shopping for the kid and buy the things yourself don't give her cash.Don't make a habit things happen every once in a while and everyone needs Little extra help.

He has a child with her. He sounds like a decent man. If he doesnt give the mother of his child money how will the child have food, shelter. clothing, etc. Maybe she needs help making ends meet.
I dont think it will stop. But maybe you can find a delicate way of telling your husband that sending her an agreed upon lump sum once a month is good enough.

Well, if she has custody of the kids, then there is a certain amount your husband has to give to support his children. Ask your husband and talk about it.Is she unreasonably, and continuosly asking for money? Or, is your husband paying weekly because he is on a budget, or something. Talk to him to know more.

Hi Freaky,
Does your husband pay child support? If not, than she has every right to ask for money. If it bothers you perhaps he should set up a legal process where they can establish how much money he should give her each month in order to care for their child.

He should take her to court for custody if she doesnt have the means to support her child. Although if he isnt paying any type of child support then he needs to get it court ordered or she should have the right to ask him for money. Kids are not cheap by any means.

Does he pay child support? If he does, then he's fulfilled his obligation.
The other option is that if she calls and asks for money because the kids need something, he can take the kids and buy them what they need himself. That way he's sure that the money is going for the kids.

it is called child support..and if they had a kid together...welcome to this new chapter of his life..and that is how it will be..
whether it is alimony or child support...if he doesn't pay enough..or what the court/divorce lawyers agreed to...then..he will make several small payments so she gets what she deserves according to the divorce..and if he doesn't..he can be called a deadbeat dad...
it is why men who WOULD get divorced...stay in relationships that they would normally end...because they can't afford the child support...so they try to fix things up ...it doesn't always work..and when they DO get divorced..the new gf/spouse has to deal with the dynamics of everything

This is something he's going to have to address with her if he thinks it's necessary.
It's hard for him to say no if there's a chance his child could suffer.....he's a father before he's a husband.
