I really don't see what fallen arches would have to do with dancing. I have friends with fallen arches who go out dancing. However if you are talking about ballet, that is out, for that you need to be able to arch your foot and you need very high arches. However you could try modern dance as it is quite different, you don't have to go on pointe, and I think that the flat arches wouldn't be an issue.

I say Dance like there's no tomorrow! I don't know what fallen arches are either, unless you mean you are flat footed... But if you love to dance, then dance! Life has a way of takin away abilitlies that we don't use to our fullest. Now if you were faced with living a long life without dancing, or a short, but amazing life where you danced your feet away, which one would you choose?

i have fallen arches(flat feet). I am 14 and I've been dancing since age 5.
If you know anything about ballroom/latin dancing, I am currently 2nd in Junior Champ Latin in Canada. Nationals are next week, and I'm working towards becoming first. If someone as lazy as me can do it, you can too! it'll hurt a bit in the begining, and if you become more serious, but trust, IT'S WORTH IT.

Yes you can. I say don't worry about your arches and have fun, you know that the teachers can't make you do more than you can handle. And if you don't have a teacher than go ahead dance don't push yourself past your limit. but to start do only a little at a time till you can get used to it.

it depends on what kind of dance you want to do. any discipline but ballet, it doesn't really matter what kind of arches you have, as long as you point your feet. as long as you love to dance, you'll do great!!! good luck!!

anyone can dance if they put they're haert to it. but it sounds to me like you roll inward on your ankles so that your kne is pointing in a diffeterent direction that your foot. be careful with this. always make sure that you are not twisting as it could eventually lead to a shattered kneecap (ouch.)
