The question is not which is the dream, but, rather, who is doing the dreaming.

Both are realities. Life is the reality of being . Death is the end of being. The hereafter is for some a reality and for some it is not as there is no real proof the later exists. As one put it. If I believe in the here after and there is non I have lost nothing. If i believe there is and in fact there is, I have every thing to gain and nothing to lose.

Life has many realities. Death is but one. We each can define what THE reality of life is, for ourselves, if we so choose. Others can't do it for you.

Death is the finality of life. And maybe it's the only real thing about life ... love, material belongings, self, there is no test to verify their reality. But if you believe it is THE reality of life, then there's little to no point to life. And if you search yourself .... I think you'll find a better answer.

Life is the reality, your memory of it is only a dream. Everyones story ends somewhere. Life is the reality of death, and dreams are its memory.

life is the reality of life. Death is the reality of death. 2 different entities, death is inevitable. it is the end of not the reality of life. There's a lot to life without narrowing it down to the end event.

I completely disagree. I believe more of the buddhist belief. We are all heaps. Heaps of organs, bones, tissue. We are merely stimulated by electricity, this is our soul, and our consciousness makes us believe in something more. When we die, we simply return to the earth. We don't pass to a Heaven nor a Hell, we return to the Earth from which we started. Through decaying back into the soil (or cremation) we are once again united with the earth and are omnipresent. If life were a dream, we wouldn't have consequences. Life is to be cherished and lived, and not lived in expectation of an afterlife that is not guaranteed.

Life is a dream but we are spirit and spirit doesn't die, it just changes form. When we take a physical body we enter the physical world which is full of illusion, the five physical senses can only take in a tiny part of reality. When we leave the physical body the spirit world is more real.

Life is a dream - or it can be ... but not in the 'figment of the imagination' dream or a 'nocturnal sleep' dream understanding. Rather, it can be a dream - idyllic. ;-)

Life is part of the journey ... we are born into this life and we are born into the next life. Who are we to say that our birth into life through death in the womb ... and our birth into the next life through death of the physical body --- is real?
(Perhaps your underlying question is 'what is reality'.)

And when you figure it all out, let the rest of us know! Good question. ;-)

no - it is just the end of life. The reality of life is we live it. The more we understand that and that life is no rehearsal, its the real thing, then we can get on with enjoying it.
