An independant study in REal Health showed that only about one third of people who use proactive get the desired results. For what you are asked to pay it is a huge risk. It also suggested that you could get better results by getting better nutrition and using something called Nourifusion for your skin. They suggest that nutriton ith a targeted facial scrub and the right daily cream applied will be better for clearing uo your skin. I have just looked up the nourifusion and the range looks impressive, try www.myhealthabc.net and follow the link to the skin care section. I am not certain which would be best for you but there is a an email link to a fully qualified nutritionist so you can ge free advice for your particular needs. I hope this helps you, good luck

Yes...but it's over priced. You can pretty much get the same results by buying products at a drug store for less than half the price. Just get a face wash with a light scrub in it (with benzol peroxide, 2.5%), a toner without alcohol, and a good moisturizing lotion that contains benzol peroxide (~2.5%).
Edit: A lot of times when you start using new facial products, it irritates the skin (causing temporary breakouts) until your skin gets used to it. This can take several months or longer, depending on your skin sensitivity. It happened to me, but afterward, the Proactiv did keep my face clear. But $20 a month for the stuff is ridiculous.

People are different. It will work for some, and not others. It just made my acne worse. Everything I tried made my acne worse. Finaly I tried the MaryKay skincare. It's great! They have products for every skin type, whereas proactive only has one formula. MaryKay also has microderm abrasian. I swear by that stuff. It's amazing!
Good Luck!

It works for me, because when I stopped using proactive my skin started to break out again.
But I don't have severe acne, I only get acne during my period, which is why I use it.

I use it, and I guess it does work cause if I stop using it I break out worse. It never completely cleared up my acne though.

It works great for me and my brother. He actually had some pits on his face before he started using it and they even faded away.
