Depends on the person. My husband and I waited for 4 years (I was 26) to get our ducks in a row and to make sure we could afford a baby (very expensive) and had a stable environment for the child, were mentally prepared (babys can be very stressful on the individual and on the marrige if not careful) I have a friend who just turned 25, has a newborn and is NOWHERE near old enough.

Whenever you feel you are mentally, emotionally, and financially able to take care of a baby. And are comfortable with the responsibility of being in charge of a baby's life. I would definitely advise anyone to at least graduate high school first though. Most jobs require a diploma or GED before they hire you. It would be a good idea to give college a shot too before you think about getting pregnant.

I would suggest between the ages of 27-32, you want to wait until you have been able to experience all the things that you want to experience before it is too late for you to do them. Most people don't realize that once they have kids, they can't do all the partying and stuff that they used to. You can't just up and decide to go tour England or something unless you are made of money. So I'd wait until I had finished my education, found a good "career", & lived life a little bit before I decided to have a child.

I'm assuming this means pregnant. There is no set age to get pregnant. When you are financially and emotionally stable enough to handle a child, when you are married and have a stable relationship, when you can provide for the baby financially, and when you and your husband decide it's time, then THAT is the right time.

That is specific to the individual. You have to be mentally and emotionally mature enough to handle parenthood, you need to be involved in a healthy relationship with your mate and you need to be financially stable.
For me, I had my first child when I was 21 and my husband was 23. My parents however, didn't have their first until my mom was 28 and my dad was 32!! It just depends on your individual circumstances.

It depends on your priorities...do you want to start a family early,or do you want to have a successful career first? Plus, I think your maturity matters more than the number of your age. But I wanted to have my first baby at 23...I'd be out of college, working at a ood job, married to my boyfriend, and in all likelyhood financially secure. But that's not how it happened. I'm almost 19 and pregnant.

Irish princess - I assume you meant to say pg? Anyway, you need to wait until you are ready, financially, physically and able to give the child all it deserves--a stable environment to grow up and the love of two adult parents. If you have to ask - you aren't old enough. Good luck to you -k-

it depends on you, there's no "set" age. I was 23; my mom was 31. it depends on where you are in your life, where you want to be, and so many other things. but, if you are serious about asking this, I'd say wait a few years.
