I know of the song "Living in America" by James Brown, but I have been trying to make a c.d. of songs about life in America for a project. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

"America" by Simon &Garfunkel
Listen to songs written by Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Steve Earle, and many other ones penned by artists older than 40. If you are really looking for tunes with meaningful lyrics, check out the 60s, and early 70s.
