There is no right or wrong way to write a poem. You do not have to rhyme, as the modernists poets of the 20th Century have illustrated. The iambic pentametre and rhyme are all traditional conventions. They have been used over and over again. So break from convention. Be different. "Make it New" as Ezra Pound proclaimed.
Say what you want to say and how you want to say it. Very importantly - stay away from cliches!!!

That would be like saying how do you draw a picture? Or how do you sing? The answer is in you. There are so many different types of poems - rhyming, free verse, narrative, haiku, sonnet. There is no one answer to that question. The very best anwer I can give you is by reading great poetry - especially aloud - starting with The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock and developing an "ear" for it. Pax - C.

What are you hoping to do with this? The paintings as awarded could be very susceptible, poorly built and rife with abstractions and unusual wording: superb day of religion, the holiday of daybreak arises extensive , in hush of glass, infrequent to look a solo Swan floats quiet gracefully via an open window comes a scent of dewy breeze... You want punctuation, you wish to have particular and urban graphics to set the tone. But extra major, what are you writing "now", what poets have you ever learn considering the fact that this was once created?
