I'm going to Sadies this Friday and I've decided to go as Audrey Hepburn in her role from Breakfast at Tiffany's. The thing is, I want to modernize the whole look of her famous black dress while still creating the beautiful elegant look. Any ideas?

I think the look would be very much contemporary in any era. I mean, I don' think u need to changes ANYTHING. I mean, even if u look at it today it is more chic n avant garde than any other looks u see in movies, or for that matter, anywhere else on the ramps n all. I mean the black dress n the pearl necklace n the hairdo, to me, r very much contemporary.

Your dress will be a 2007 style and your accessories,
I would wear my hair just like hers, that style never goes out.
Big sunglasses are in now. What a great look I love her. She's
so elegant and beautiful.Lip gloss instead of ruby red lipstick.
Pearls are very elegant.Strapy hi-heels.Little purse w/h
shoulder strap.Maybe silver & shiny.Wear some nice long eye lashes.Face Make-up needs to look like Porcelain.

Go with the plain black dress thing but modernise your acessories and hairdo. You will give yourself a headache trying to get you hair up like that.

I think the black dress (Traditional) modern upstyle, modern jewels and larger than life sunglasses should do it. You don't need to be smoking.

Honey, the smoking completes the chic look. Let's face it, smoking looks cool or else celebs wouldnt be doing that.
