i am very dumb about computers and i bought a used compaq armada 1590dmt laptop and i try 2 connect it 2 the internet and it says i don't have a modem i know u can buy external modems but i don't know how u buy one that will work with that specific laptops can someone please help me

I have a Compaq laptop and it was built in. I'm very dumb when it comes to computers also, but it took me awhile to realize that the modem was already built into it.

Look at www.newegg.com or anywhere else for a PCMCIA card that has a modem on it. Make sure that your computer first has a PCMCIA slot which is always on the side and is about 2" wide and about a 1/4" thick.
