Notepad is an excellent program, but you have to know how to code HTML - it won't do that for you.

professional Designers use photoshop to strengthen their photos. professional builders use a undeniable text fabric editor (Notepad++) to code the workings of the web pages. some, on requests from clientele, introduce some factors of Flash, yet in basic terms the coolest ones supply determination contents (for those clientele who do no longer % Flash (for many good motives). No professional will strengthen a "Flash in basic terms" internet site: that's a non-starter and a advertisement suicide (yet good adequate for a weblog that throughout basic terms some clientele flow to...) On browsers, experts use, a minimum of: IE, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari to attempt their web pages, and from 800 to 1660 decision. Edit: in case you're an artist, you may study to layout pages in some weeks, yet to alter right into a professional developer will take years of studying. regrettably, new-to-information superhighway "designers" applying Dreamweaver for each week think of they're residing house and dry. no longer something is further from the actual fact. The interactive information superhighway is an exceedingly complicated field!

I use a combination of VI & VIM. Sometimes Quanta. However, this applies only when creating static web pages.

Most of my web work is on a MySQL-->Geeklog system (both of which are free).

If you want tools aplenty then I suggest loading up Linux.

Try Notepad2.
It's a great editor for whatever web design language you want to work with, and it's free.
