Everybody dreams. It is whether you remember them or not. You are more likely to remember them if you are in a light sleep. Maybe if you try and sleep in and doze you might remember your dreams.

Everyone's brain and body follow a biological cycle known as the "ultradian rhythm".
Besically this means that all through each day and night you go through a two phase cycle:
The first phase lasts about 90-110 minutes
The second phase lasts around 20-30 minutes.
Whilst we're awake we function "normally" during the first phase but go into a sort of trance state during the second phase. It seems that phase two is used to do some processing of what happened to us during the previous phase.
When we're sleeping we simply rest during phase one, and go into REM (rapid eye movement) sleep in phase two.
REM sleep is when we do all our dreaming, so if you sleep 6-8 hours you'll probably have four or five bouts of REM sleep.
Dreaming is a process of sorting through the "new" material we've accumulated and making "mental maps" which combine the new information with our existing ideas, beliefs, values, views of the world, etc.
We are most likely to remember our dreams if we wake up during ir immediately after a period of REM sleep.
Unfortunately that doesn't actually help anything because dreams don't have any hidden meanings, and are usually pretty surreal because information from different periods of your life, different subject areas and so on are all being mixed together.
It isn't the dreams that matter but the RESULTS of dreaming. The changes in the way you see the world.

Everyone dreams while they are asleep. The key is to remember the dreams. If you are having trouble with this I have some suggestions for you. For one, before going to bed meditate for a few minutes and say some affirmations such as "I will remember my dreams tonight". Next, keep a journal or MP3 player/recorder next to your bed. If you wake up from a dream write/record it immediately. Dreams fade quickly and if you wait until morning, it will probably be gone.
Just the intent to remember your dreams should help in the process. It may take some time before this happens, so be patient. Good luck!

Everybody dreams, and people have multiple dreams each night. The problem is that many people do not remember their dreams unless they are prepared. Before you go to sleep, have a pencil and paper readily available to write down notes of your dream after you wake up. Being prepared will help you remember your dreams.

You are indeed dreaming like everyone mentioned. My advice is leave a pen and notebook on the side of the bed to record your dreams. Don't just jump out of the bed when you wake up. Go to bed early so that you have time to reflect on your dreams.
I went several years without remembering my dreams and this helped.

Set your alarm for early in the morning, say an hour or two before you have to get up, and then go right back to sleep. You'll have vivid dreams.

You cant just "Dream" you always dream anyways its just you usually see the dream your dreaming when you sleep hard you mamby just be a light sleeper and cant see your dreams when your sleeping?
