Does Verizon charge you to send and receive texts or just to send them?

Verizon has several different plans regarding text messages. You can check which one you have by calling 611 on your cell or going to My Accounts on Verizonwireless.com
Depending on the plan you have it could all be free, or everything could cost you, and anything in between.
Then it depends on if it's coming and going to other Verizon customers, or outside the "IN" group.
