Thurman,

Highly unlikely. The Lakers are getting healthier and they are on a roll right now. The nuggets i think are about 3 back with 12 to play. So even if the Lakers went 6-6, the Nuggets would have to go 9-3 to catch them. i think the Lakers have a favorable schedule and will likely go closer to 8-4 or 9-3 so basically the Nuggets would have to go 11-1 or 12-0 (highly unlikely).

I think though the Nuggets have a better shot against the Suns than against the Spurs. They just beat them in a no-defense contest the other night.

hmmm. i'm going to say no. here's why. both the lakers and nuggets depend on some of the league's top scorers to win. the lakers have Kobe. the nuggets have Carmelo and Iverson. advantage nuggets right? wrong. sometimes, a team can survive with one ball hog. it can almost never work with two. too much conflict.

No because the Lakers seem to have found their footing and are on a roll (5 game winning streak).

Nope. Lamar Odom and Luke Walton are back from their injuries. With these two healthy, the Lakers are a much better team than Denver.
