What college should I go to? Art Institute? University? I want to help with illustrations in Nintendo. How can I most likely reach my goal?

If you don't already know, the gaming market is extremely competitive, especially if you aren't a white/Japanese male. Go for your goal, but know that you have to work very very hard and be good at what you do.

A good school I've heard is Digipen. It's in Redmond, WA, in the same city as Nintendo USA. It has one of the best 3D animation and modelling programs in the country. Very competitive, but if you get in and graduate you are almost guarenteed to break into the industry. I have a friend who went there and now she is working for SCEA.

The most important thing is to create a killer portfolio. You must learn to do this on your own. Sometimes your portfolio trumps the education you have recieved when looking for a job.

it depends on what you want to do at the company. CADD or programming experience help. If you are the artistic type, then find a good art school, but CADD classes wouldn't hurt.
