i already bought a wii, but now im feeling regrets once the bowling weared off. I bought about five games, and they were really fun until the next day. they have zero lasting appeal. i waited for so long to get a wii, but now im thinking i should get a 360 because im more into shooters and graphics. i have a lot of friends who have it and they say its still fun (theyve had it for about a year), and i could play on live with them. the new line up for wii looks terrible, and the 360 has halo 3 and gears of war coming out (gears of war is out, yes i know that). I think the wii is wearing off, so what should i do?

you only have to know three words . . . .gears of war. so 360 is my bet, unless you have the mental capacity of a 3 year old or are pleasuring yourself to the idea of yet another stupid mario game.
nintendo is for suckers.
which begs me to ask why are they the only ones supporting the Resident evil games if they're target audience are toddlers?

Sounds like you need a higher end machine. Nintendo went a very different direction with the Wii so it would not be competing head to head with Sony and Microsoft. I own both a 360 and a Wii because they both offer completely different types of game play. I must admit that I like shooters and the 360 is the platform for that. Wii will have some more games coming out over the next few months but you won't get the same kind of graphics and game play that you can on the 360. Gears of War is an great game and yes, Halo 3 will be out later this year. If you haven't played much 360 then you can get a lot of used games for cheap so you can catch up. Also, if you like online play then nothing beats XBox live.
Can you afford both? Can you still return your Wii?

Finally someone that admits it!!! Everyone that I know that has a Wii feels the exact same way as you do. The good news is the Wii is still very popular and you should fetch top dollar for all of your wii stuff on eBay. You will probably get enough for all that crap to buy a 360.
Get rid of the Wii while it is still popular and get a real next gen system. Sooner or later MANY other people will feel the same way (or actually admit they do when they see all of the dust collecting on their Wiis) and the prices for used consoles on eBay will plummet.
GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN STILL RECOUP MOST OF YOUR MONEY.

definitally get the wii. At one point I had the xbox 360 and the wii. I ended up returning the xbox cause the wii is just so much better . Just go to the local Best buys or wal mart and pick one up there. The only problem is its still really hard to find the wii. Best buy and wall mart are always sold out. Try going to this site and type in your Zip Code. http://doiop.com/locatethewii It will tell you when shipments of the Wii are in your area and how many. its really helpful. it worked for me

The WII can be really fun to play with but yes it does get boring so if I was in ur postion id sell the wii and save up for the 360 (my opinion).

Depending on how long ago you bought it try to return it and get a 360. I don't think you can return the games so try selling them on ebay or something. I agree with you Wii does get really boring.

Sigh... people... gamers these days dont really look for a actual good game anymore, they also are so easily attracted by eye candy...
ok all those XBox junkies are gonna be like the disgruntled Ganados in RE4 and mob me, but Im gonna say...dont use your money on a 360... Its nothing special. not the most powerfull machine, not very creative either... nothing new, nothing significantly upgraded as well... in my opinion it is going to have a similar situation as the Gamecube of the previous generation, where it stays alive, but doenst really do well at all compared to the other systems. Also the 360... they hella rushed in making the system, they wanted money fast so they got it out in time for the christmas rush... I think in my opinion, that is one of the fatal flaws that is going to kill the 360. If they spent more time on it, then it might have turned out to be something good.
The Wii on the other had has been in the works for years before the release they started development a little after the Gamecube came out, so obviously they had more time to work out the details. true the wii is not the most spectacular thing when it comes to graphics, but its the closest to actually immersing yourself in the game, but of course those people that dont really look for gameplay, and only look for pointless violence and eye candy would think that the Wii is a bad machine.
Also Maybe you didnt notice that theres going to be a new Metriod for the Wii, looks pretty impressive as well... also there is going to be a new Resident evil as well, and judging how RE4 came out, you can expect it to be hella good.
Ok ill have to admit, Halo is fun........ for the first ten minutes you play it... after that it gets awefully repetative, senseless overkill does not entertain me for very long... and i got sick of how halo went... Halo isnt much of a "OMFG THIS IS SO ADDICTIVE" kind of game like "Goldeneye" or "Perfect Dark" for N64. much like CS, Halo gets repetative quite easily.
in the end its up to you though, since you seem to like just action and not much else, you should either get a PS3 or a 360, though personally id recomend the ps3 since the 360 is just a upgraded oldschool XBox, the wii might be able to satisfy you, but its actually designed for everyone, and gamers that like variety, ones that want everything, not just action or shooting, also I guess you are not the one that goes for gameplay as well since there are some REALLY good games out for the wii, and apparently you dont seem to like them...
