The chances of survival are very good. Babies born at 24 weeks have a very good chance of survival if they receive treatment immediately after being born. At 28 weeks the baby may or may not need treatment, but the chances are s/he will need treatment. I recommend reading "What to Expect When You're Expecting". It gives you a month-by-month explanation of what is going on inside your body and tells you what the chances of survival are at each stage.

although technology is way better than it used to be, it doesn't change the fact that the baby is born now, it does not have enough meat/fat on its bones to be able to survive too well.. Also, it hasn't fully developed its breathing, swallowing skills etc, and its bones are still very very fragile..
If you have a good neo natal intensive care unit at your hospital, then clearly chances will be better than just a normal maternity ward.
If your question is referring to chances of miscarriage, then your chances are slimmer than before. You still have to be careful physically, but the chances are good for "not" miscarrying at this point as long as you know the baby is healthy. YOu should be having regular o.b. visits by now and you should already know this information from your o.b.
That is the only way you will truly know.

If your baby is born in a hospital, your baby has a very good chance at survival. As early as 24 weeks babies born prematurely, if born in a hospital where they can recieve immediate care, have a great chance at being healthy babies. With all the advancements in prenatal care, babies are surviving at earlier and earlier ages. There was one baby who survived after being born at 21 weeks.

Good chance...get your baby to a good ICU and he/she will be in good hands. My mother had my brother at 24 weeks I believe and he is over 1 years of age and perfectly healthy thank God. However, you should really ask your doctor about this ;-)

"Your baby is about 13.8 inches long and weighs approximately 2 pounds, 4 ounces, and has a good chance of survival with medical technology"

I was told that the chances are very low. There is little chance of having a miscarriage at this point in your pregnancy. Good luck and congratulations.
