I'm 37wks pregnant and so very very uncomfortable. I've posted about lots of pressure and lower back ache and sore pubic area in the last week or so and its just getting progressively worse. It hurts to walk because my pubic area is causing excrutiating pain, my lower back is killing me, my stomach feels very crampy, alot heavier than usual, and my stomach also feels tighter than usual. My breasts are also extremely sensitive.. which is odd cause they haven't caused any pain or anything through out this whole pregnancy so far.

I've been feeling like this, consistently without any break for the last 15hrs or so. I feel so... "blah" and since the discomfit was so great it kept me up most of the night so not only am i "blah", i'm tired! lol

Will this subside? Will i feel like this for the next three weeks? What can i do?

As many of the other women have said "I feel your pain" I am 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My back is killing me, my sides are killing me, he is pressing on the nerves on my pelvis which makes my legs give out and my back give out...in the past 2 weeks I have had 2 yeast infections, a UTI, and an infected finger (for no apparent reason, just woke up with one)...been to the hospital twice for really painful braxton hicks contractions which were being caused from all the infections I have had and causing uterine irritability. This really sucks. Right now I can't sleep, I eat like a bird, cause its too annoying to try and eat larger portions. I pulled a muscle on my side yesterday picking up my 4 year old, after he took a spill. I was actually in tears today thinking how can I go on. I am so miserable. God please put me out of my misery. Anyway, I am going to have a c-section on april 16th, but the waiting is killing me. gonna be the longest 3 weeks ever. Hope we both make it and still have our sanity. Good luck to you.

You sound like your body is preparing for labor if you are not already in the early stages of it. I know how you feel, I carried twins 2.5 years ago and it was about the hardest thing i ever did. My lower back ached from the very beginning of the pregnancy until the end. I was miserbale the whole time.

I felt the pressure in my stomach and lower back too, and the cramps. I felt the public pain, it was so bad that I had to walk like an 80 year old lady! Nothing alleviated it, not even laying down. The morning sickness was times 2, and even the smell of food sickened me. I am naturally large chested and those things filled with milk and they were so sore that I couldn't wear a bra! And to lay on my stomach (before i started getting big) was unthinkable. You are complaining about 15 hours, but my discomfortl was for the whole 9 months!

Hang in there though, and if you get worse, call a doctor. This too shall pass, and when you hold your little one finally, it will be all worth it!

First, congratulations on your near arrival.

Please don't take any medications, they are not good for the baby. You don't want a drowsy baby, particularly at this point when they also need all the strength they can get.

When I was in those last weeks carrying twins, I couldn't do much because of the lower back pain and walking was only to get to the next chair. I felt I needed a wheelbarrow in front of me to carry the weight! I went full term with them.

Try to relax and give your obstetrician a call. I am confident there is nothing wrong. Sorry to say you will feel uncomfortable from now on. Your body is going through such a major change and it sounds like the baby is getting organised for the big day.

A tip - make sure you have a VERY comfortable recliner chair to come home to.

Feel free to contact me directly on my email leanne27@aapt.net.au if you want (now or in the future). There are so many tips that many are not aware of.

hey, from 35 weeks until almost 38 weeks i was in the same boat as you!! i was going insane! it was a ctually bringing me into tears cause i was so stressed out about it!!! i know its extremly hard, some people say that the last weeks of your pregnancy go by fast. i totally disagree. im 39 weeks pregnant now.. Ironically all the complications i was having that were exactly like yours Just went away over night.!! it was totally crazy, i was able to clean the house do my hair * i have a lot of hair * and i would actually take the time to do it! And now it feels like he is never going to come cause im feeling perfectly fine!! now this is driving me nuts! haha

But i would say put your feet up for a little while, i ate lots n lots of fruit and let people wait on me hand n foot. i took full advantage! Make sure you are drinking lots of fluids, this will help a lot too!

i wish you the best of luck!!

This will subside when your baby makes its grand entrance into the world. I am 38 weeks and suffer from all of the same symptoms. It sucks, walking is a chore, getting up to pee is a chore, even trying to roll out of bed hurts. I understand completely how you feel. Unfortunately this is the result of the baby now being so low. They are putting pressure on our backs, cervix, rectum, and inner thighs. Taking baths helps, but nothing will make this subside totally. All we can do is pray for labor. I do this daily.
Good luck with baby and take care.

I feel your pain. I just turned 38 weeks today and am feeling the same pains and discomfort.. The best thing to do is relax. Try to focus your attention elsewhere.. This is why I am always on Yahoo answers, because it takes my mind off of my discomfort. I sit in a good position, and let my mind drift off into la la land.. Sometimes i will do puzzles, or play video games, anything to keep my mind busy and off of "me"..
Its so easy at this point of our pregnancy to get lost in our pain and emotions, because we are pretty much "done" with the experience and want the baby out of us NOW! But be patient, try to relax a little and treat yourself to comforts as much as possible. Kick back, put your feet up, get a massage and spoil yourself right now.
If your water hasn't broke yet or you havn't lost your mucus plug, then sometimes taking a warm bath will help sooth your ails.. I wish you lots of luck.. I'm still not dilated or effaced yet.. I'm due april 9th, it looks like she;s going to be a late bloomer!
Good luck!

I feel your pain! I was like that while pregnant with my son. I kept thinking "Please go into labor, please go into labor." Needless to say, I had to get induced at 41 weeks!

It will probably not subside, as much as I hate to tell you that. I remember feeling so much pain, pressure, and fatigue in my last month that I never thought I would make it. But you will make it.

The only thing I can recommend is to get plenty of rest. Even if you can't sleep, be sure to take plenty of time during the day to kick back, put your feet up, and relax. If you can't sleep that well at night, if you feel really tired during the day, try to take a nap. Just take it easy and rest. That's what I did.

Good luck :)

I really don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but yes. I had horrid pelvic pain in my bones, i couldn't even turn over in the bed! I had my baby at almost 42 weeks, and what sucked was after he was born, my pelvis still hurt for 2 weeks! But don't worry, it wont be that way forever. And in a couple months you wont even remember the pain.

Some of will subside when you have the baby....Until then you are goin gto feel uncomfortable EVERYWHERE and yes sore and yes tired. You (we) are lugging that baby every step you take and if the baby is LOOOOW like mine is, then you're going to feel all sorts of pain in your lower regions. Good luck
