I sat with a heating pad on my breasts for the first few weeks I was pregnant. The breast tissue and milk ducts that will fill a little before birth are swollen and can be very painful. If the heating pad doesn't work, try to do what athletes do. Switch heat and ice every twenty minutes until the pain is bearable. And talk to your doctor if the pain intensifies. Good luck!

Brandie:

Congratulations. Call a doctor if you don't have one. You've got 7 months to go, and I'd sleep better knowing you're sleeping well.

If you have a doctor, then hassle the person for an answer. Make sure your blood pressure is OK. Prenatal care is one of the finest gifts the 19th and 20th Century gave to us, and they did so with a lot of hardship.

Nothing is better than a happy pregnant woman. Except maybe a happy healthy woman with a happy healthy baby. And a happy proud father. Best wishes...

Oh yeah, I remember that! Your chest goes through different stages through pregnancy. I am 24 weeks along & the pain was bloody awful in the first trimester. After 12 weeks, the pain will likely fade up a bit, but your breasts will continue to change & develop as your pregnancy does. Mine are itching like mad now.
Best advice is to avoid wearing underwire & apparently cabbage leaves in your bra can work wonders!

I went from a C cup to a DDD cup in less than 4 months. That hurt. They finaly stoped somewhere around 14 weeks I think. Try sleeping in a bra, I found that helped a lot. Also you might find it hard to sleep on your belly while they are sore. Good Luck. If your anything like me this will be your only symptom.

8 weeks pregnant or had a baby 8 weeks ago?
If you are 8 weks pregnant the you have a ways to go. If you gave birth 8 weeks ago then it depends on whether or not you are breast feeding. If your not then you need to wear a tight bra and put cold compresses on them it will help dry up the milk.

Hope this helps
