well i don't "come out" at work unless they ask me if I'm a lesbian or not, I don't think its necessary. But its really up to you. some people might have problem with your sexuality and make it hard for you that is something you would have to deal with. As for you letting that person know you like them, I would first try to find out their preference otherwise they may not feel comfortable. If you do end up having a relationship with this person you would have to face the problem of not having you own time,(you will see this person everyday) not that its a bad thing but sometimes its good to spend time apart. Oh and if it doesn't work out......well not a good thing, too much tension.

What you described is A major train wreck that is going to happen...and you are driveing the train... All is well as long as all goes well... And we know nothing ever goes that well...then you have to work with them everyday... soon your work will suffer and you will be let go. You got a better job to go to? Never mind the pain you will suffer every day faceing the other person..Do you like being in a train wreck? Remember who the driver is.

I am out at work. I don't care what people think. However, I would not have a relationship with someone I worked with under any circumstances. It is a recipe for disaster and drama, I learned from personal experience.

I, fortunately, work in a very diverse office. racially mixed white, black, Latino and Asian. as well as, out of less than 30 people, 5 of us are homosexual. we are all out, and accepted, and we all work well together.
as far as dating someone at work, that's nothing I would ever do....to much chance of complications, and, what if there were a break-up? but, as I'm in a committed, monogamous relationship, no concern of mine now.

Con - By discussing your sex life you could get fired.
Pro - by letting people know your gay, when you get fired for some other cause, you can claim you got fired because you are gay, sue your employer and maybe you never have to work again!
