anyone think Boylen to Utah was a good hire? Boylen hasn't proved himself as a head coach but Izzo's assistants always do well. Do you think that Arkansas coach deserved to be fired after making the NCAA tournament? Will Michigan hire Lon Kruger? Who will Kentucky hire? These will all be the major hires this year and I don't know what will happen.

one question at a time:

boylen hasn't proven himself as a head coach, but neither had tom crean really, and he's a hot commodity for top-flight programs...if boylen is anything like crean, he will be a ringer for izzo in style of coaching and his team's style of play

i don't think the arkansas coach, stan heath, should have been fired, he had gone on about a 20-win per season clip in the sec while getting second-class recruits, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me

michigan does not have the allure to get lon kruger in my opinion...there are other options though, perhaps todd lickliter of butler or chris lowery of siu

the kentucky job search probably won't even start until florida is eliminated because their number one guy is billy donovan...i don't think they'll be able to lure him away, but kruger is a reasonable option for that position, as is mark few of gonzaga, billy gillispie of texas a&m, or as a possible desperation option tony bennett of washington state
