Yeah...got my hair rebonded at Going Straight last summer, and 8 months later my hair's still stick straight and I'm loving it...but now I want a change of hair color so I want to dye it. Thing is, I'm afraid if I dye my hair, the chemicals used to straighten my hair will come out, and it'll be back to my frizzy, thick hair. Will dyeing permed hair make it un-permed?

8 months is quite long. hair rebonding as my hairdresser said should be done every 6 months, good thing your hair still has that long straight look. partly yes, the chemicals in the dye would affect your rebonding but you don't have to worry about that since you would be needing a new rebond soon.

No no no, don't dye it, get a cellophane treatment. Go back to the salon where you had your hair rebonded and ask for the best possible hair color procedure given you have a rebonded hair. Best hair consultants are from David's and Rickey Reyes (not Reyes Cutters Salon, that's different). Those are the 2 salons that I personally trust.

Of course not! Just make sure you'll have it hot oiled or treated after to it won't loose its moisture.

ask your question in "beauty and style." you'll probably get more answers there.
