YES! It is a known fact that dolphins and sharks are natural enemies.
There are many reported cases of dolphins coming to the rescue of humans who are being bothered by sharks as well as helping people who are in distress because of other means.
So I believe from what I've learned about this over the years that it's more likely than not that the dolphins will intercede to save the human.

I'd really like to think so ,but with the way that my luck has been going the dolphins would attack me and the shark would sell pop corn to the people on the shore.....

Probably not...they'd swim to a safe distance and talk to each other in their dolphin speak what an idiot you were to come out with that open sore on your leg....

It depends on the relationship you have with the dolphin. If it's really friendly, then maybe yes. If not, trouble!
