ok first of all...the classes are a little harder and you get to enjoy high school more. you will need to start planning out the rest of your years in high school. it's wayyyy more fun though than freshman year though. that's for sure.

The best place to get answers like that is from the direction you chose to follow before you get started in Sophomore year. Study your teachers as well as your homework.

You are walking on the paths of our ancestors, and it is best to decide which area of the available studies interest you prior to walking through those doors. So you can achieve better skills in your areas of interest while you keep your other classes on a level for good marks.

Then you can form friendships who work in the same area of thought, combined with others that add aid to your research, and scientific enterprise.

Business is as scientific as chemistry and some paths of thought have been well trodden.

Keep in mind that school work is a learning tool, finding interesting material along the way shows you are learning how to use those tools. Just getting all the answers correct is showing that you are another show off with a desire to be on a pedestal like every other child.

Adventure is finding things from the schools offerings of study that lead to new finds outside the classroom, while their suggested studies helps you find those doors that seldom open to the less observant students.

Make friends with those who find the same interests and like to explore the studies to find realms of forgotten adventure.

Study planning will help you form ideas, make tools, and create enough to make it a worthwhile adventure.
Study your planned adventure a little more so, your chances of being saved from the quicksand of life's bad decisions is in your favor.

You will find the thrill of life can be enhanced even if your temper is great and you do a great deal of research before breaking out the discovery so all humanity can revel at your finds.
Oh! Lest I forget, Scholarships are a good thing to start looking into while you're in Sophomore year. Try not to get too many scholarships in one basket for you will have trouble decided which college to attend.

Be prepared, you might actually find the day comes when you will want to use Scholarships.

Unless you like Foolish Risk that is.

You feel more confident about yourself and the school isn't new to you any more. You can be more serious about studies and more relaxed about fitting in.
