Where I'm from, China, a myth says that if you can see from a woman's back that she's pregnant, it's a girl. If you can't it's a boy.
Odd thing is. Everytime a relative brings that up to a friend or other family member they're right. I brought it up as a joke a few months ago with a co worker and I was right. She hadn't told anyone at work.

if the mother was on top while conceiving it's a boy, if the father was on top while conceiving its a girl;
if your belly looks like a basketball its a boy, if it looks like a watermelon its a girl.
yes it is fun to try all of these little things but just keep in mind they are not always right, but i think just about every pregnant woman has tried at least one of these!

Well, I heard about the belly shape, but trust me, it is all myths. The best way to know the baby sex is to see a doctor.At least it is accurate

Ohhhh I love reading different myths about determining the sex! They are so fun to do. I have heard, that if you pour drano in your toilet, then pee, the color it turns in the toilet determines the sex. Also, If the heartbeat is higher, its a boy, if its lower, then its a girl. I had heard that you can tell by how you are carrying the child can determine the gender. I believe they say if you carry high, it's a girl. Carry low and it's a boy (or maybe it's the other way around! Haha!) I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard.

I have heard that the position you were in when you got pregnant. I know it sounds funny, When I found out I was pregnant I was told all these myths. Heck even my ultrasound was wrong. Everything (including my ultrasound) that I was having a boy, that is until the bottom half of her body came out. LOL Congrats

i know for sure the pencil with string does work when your not pregnate butt when you are pregnate its oppiste or it has hard time desiding my mother is a delviery nurse she is always right with the rate of the heartbeat always pegs it to the tee. good luck my 3 children was true to the pencil before i got pregnate when we was just coursious my children are 19 to 24 years old you will make lots of joy.
