Please Ciara could never ever replace "Baby Girl" but Ciara is continue the "legacy" sort to speak of the late Aaliyah because Ciara has the same body type as Aaliyah. The way she moves and sings is very similar to "Baby Girl". Hope that helps you out.

Probably, though I don't think it's her fault. Record Execs see an opening and they try to fill it. I think she was picked because she has an Aaliyah type voice, and then groomed to fit the slot.
